Buffy V Edward has been Nominated for a Webby!

Via Anita Sarkeesian at Feminist Frequency:

Jonathan McIntosh‘s viral Buffy vs Edward remix has been nominated for a webby in the best video remix category and we have to help him win! It has been viewed over 3 million times. The webby’s have a people’s choice category and this is our opportunity to tell them that the people are choosing creative, fun and critical entertainment, plus it’s a feminist video to boot!

So if you would please go cast your vote for Buffy vs Edward, it will only take a few minutes, then get all your friends and friend’s friends to vote as well. Post it on your facebook, twitter and blogs!

Here’s how to vote:  Just go to http://www.youtube.com/webby?x=remixmashup (it does require you to create an account and I know that sucks but please do it anyway) then VOTE for Buffy vs Edward: Twilight!

Go do it now! (if you have trouble finding the video to VOTE with the link above:

http://webby.aol.com/ Click on ONLINE FILM AND VIDEO on the top
Then choose VIDEO REMIXES AND MASHUPS on the bottom left hand corner.) It only takes a couple of minutes at the most. The webbies are like the Oscars of the Internet and carving a small space for real quality critical grassroots made work in the sea of corporate and/or nonsensical videos will be epic! So please, go vote now.
Haven’t seen it? Here it is.
