The fact that she’s horrified, distraught, and upset, looking for comfort, ends up being played for laughs." I didn't get the impression that the fact that this was supposed to be played for laughs. I'm more inclined to believe she wasn't included because they didn't think she was important enough to show a fight scene with, or that they didn't even think of her at all - she was such a non-character, someone just forgot.
