Palin and the media: the romance is growing stale
Yesterday’s post by Jon Friedman in the Huffington Post confirms that beam of light that I referenced on September 14 . People are seeing through the facade, speaking up and the media has grown tired of this character.
“The Sarah Palin phenomenon is doomed.,” states Friedman.
“The primary reason why the Palin bubble will burst is that the media will decide that they are bored with her. They’ll need to move to shine a light on a fresh issue or individual.
This is how the world works in the age of 24/7 news cycles. Whether the subject is Britney Spears, Michael Jordan or Sarah Palin, we inevitably raise stars to mythic levels, out of all reasonable proportions.”
It’s about time. All Palin is is a weak publicity stunt. Personally, I’m waiting to see McCain’s choice for VP back fire. How stupid do the Republicans think we are.
I highly recommend this weeks [Sept. 15, 2008] copy of newsweek. Especially the editorial; it completely protrays my thoughts on Palin and the Republican party.
